GREAT MUSIC YOU'VE NEVER HEARD...
This is my former roomie in Nash who played drums on my latest record and he's a "modern-acoustic" singer/songwriter who just released his first album.
My lovely and talented husband, Kurt. All kinds of free music on his site.
My dear friend and college chum who is now living in LA and doing his thang. Check out his first release "Release", (no, really!) - complete with Background vocals by yours truly! Yey!
An amazing vocalist who is currently starring on Broadway as Elphaba in Wicked.
Fellow Berklee Alum and Pop Singer/Songwriter with some tasty vocals and hooks on top of hooks on top of hooks!
MIKE ERRICO is a force to be reckoned with. I heard him play when we shared a set at the ASCAP Songwriters workshop. His song "Daylight" will blow you away. Aggressive acoustic. I dig it.
My creepy-cool friend Liz and I share a show from time to time at the Triad Lounge and I think its time the world knew a little bit more about her kooky, lovable blue-ness. She is a monster pianist, hammering out manic melodies and dark, concerto-like pop songs. And I don't know anyone else who can pull of lyrics like: "Driz-zle, driz-zle, driz-zle, driz, I'll hang up your call"
This band is like CRACK! Wacky and yet strangely addicting, Self is a band from Murfreesboro, TN whom I heard about through various sources before finally checking them out. Its like They Might Be Giants meets Prince meets Jellyfish meets.....
This band is my daily energy pill these days. Originally from Ireland but now living in Boston, I met them when they recorded part of their forthcoming album at the studio where I worked in Nash. The album is set for release next month. Until then, check out their sound clips...
Shes my buddy from Berklee and a deep, dynamic singer/songwriter from San Francisco. Check her out.
ORGANIZATIONS OF INTEREST...
The people at Earth Celebrations are fully dedicated to saving the lush gardens of NYC's Lower East Side. These oasis-like pockets of green are actually transformed vacant lots, lovingly maintained by the community there. Every year, there is a day-long procession to raise public awareness. I participated this year on a whim, performing "Gypsy" and singing harmonies with fellow songstress Elizabeth Avery at the closing ceremonies. To see my pictures from that event, click HERE.
Full of great information for and about the art of Singer/Songwriter-ness. A great resource.
Yup. You guessed right! Im a certified, card-carrying albino. This site has everything you ever wanted to know about albinos but were afraid to ask. Arent genetics wacky?
Lots of underground and innovative music at this online record store and listening station including NightLight. Check it out.
